Casino Velden, located on Austria’s Lake Wörther, recently needed to upgraded its house audio console from an analogue to a digital system.
The Casino contains various card and roulette tables and slot machines, as well as an upscale restaurant. The venue runs a busy events programme which includes tournaments, dance displays and galas, requiring a FOH console to manage audio requirements.
A new sports complexhas been constructed as a training centre for Poland’s Olympic athletes.
Situated in Zakopane, the Coscentre comprises a 46m x 28m hall, 15m climbing wall, running track, gym, judo training room, wrestling training room and fitness hall. Zakopane-based installer, Future Tech, was appointed to install the sound reinforcement system, based around an Allen & Heath’s Qu-Pac digital rack mixer. The system manages sources such as, microphones for announcements and coaches’ commentaries, and music playlists.
The location for a major mountain bike event can be the size of 10 football fields, there will be several concurrent events, each with their own audio requirements, plus briefing, meeting and conference areas which require audio but also minimal background noise. The trails can be upwards of 8 square kilometres, and the audience, often well over 10,000 capacity, can be spread over several mountains

iDR-4 and iDR-8 are 16 x 16 matrix mixers with an extensive array of audio management tools designed to reduce the need for additional devices. A&H preamps, 24bit converters and fixed DSP architecture ensure concert-quality, low-latency sound.
