Case Studies

Salle Communale - Geneva - Switzerland

The town of Petit-Lancy near Geneva decided to refurbish its multipurpose hall. After considerable research, the company Synergie S.A. was selected to install the lighting and audio systems. The customer wanted a very flexible system, with sophisticated parameters but as 80% of the time the system would be used by non-technician staff, it also needed to be accessible.

Blue Whale Jazz Club - LA USA

Opened in 2009, the Blue Whale is a live jazz club and art gallery located in the heart of Little Tokyo in downtown Los Angeles, California, USA. The Blue Whale has become the ‘go to’ venue for the best musicians to showcase their latest projects.

Howl at the Moon - USA

From the inner city of Boston, MA to the rolling hills of Hollywood, CA, Howl at the Moon has become a staple for the night life scene across the United States. With duelling pianos and a full band performing, one has the chance to hear their favourite song at any given night. With 17 established locations across the country, and more to come, Dean Laber, the Media Director, was on the hunt for a fixed install formula that could be deployed at all current and future locations.

230 Fifth Club - Manhattan, NYC USA

The infamous 230 Fifth Club is located in downtown Manhattan, NYC, and is the biggest rooftop penthouse in the heart of the Big Apple, enjoying panoramic views of the city, including the Empire State Building. The venue hosts many events, both public and private, across two floors, from live broadcast of the 2016 United States election to the NBC broadcast for New Year’s Eve.

British Music Embassy - SXSW, Austin Texas

Allen & Heath digital mixers were once again at the forefront of this year’s South by Southwest Music and Media Conference (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, USA. Mixers from across the dLive, GLD and Qu ranges were employed in many participating venues across the city during the six-day event, most notably for the renowned British Music Embassy showcase, which hosted artists including Slaves, Kate Nash and Rag‘n’Bone Man.

Napier RSA - New Zealand

The multi-purpose Returned Service Association (RSA) venue in Napier, New Zealand, was founded to provide a variety of sporting and social activities for army veterans and their families, offering activities from keep fit and bowls to gaming and live music entertainment. The venue was in need of an audio refurbishment and a more sophisticated zone controller to manage five zones: Lounge, TAB restaurant, Library, Smokers Deck, and Casino.

Scala - London
dLive, GLD

Among the most iconic London venues of its type, Scala in Kings Cross has played host to everyone from Coldplay and The Foo Fighters to Ray Lamontagne and Sheryl Crow over the years. As part of a recent significant upgrade to Scala’s in-house audio system, the venue needed new audio mixers for FOH, monitors and also the DJ booth.

The Saxon Pub - Austin Texas USA

The Saxon Pub has had a leading role in Austin’s music scene for over 20 years. Many well-respected musicians have graced the stage from Willy Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Joe Ely to Bonnie Raitt. It has also been the venue of choice for various film and live recordings, and a frequent hang out for celebrities.

Hard Rock Cafe - Thailand

The new Hard Rock Cafe in Chiangmai, Thailand, recently opened its doors featuring an audio system designed and installed by One Systems Global. At the centre of the system, the mixer needed to be compact and able to manage a live band, as well as the usual playback and zoning requirements of the venue. The mixer would mainly be located in a control room so remote control options would be necessary.

Jordanki Cultual Centre - Poland

Poland’s new JordankiCultural & Congress Centre, an architecturally renowned building in the city of Toruń, needed to fulfil personal monitoring requirements in the venue’s two performance halls. Supplied and installed by Konsbud Audio, the system consists of 16 ME-1 personal mini mixers and two ME-U hubs, divided between the Concert Hall and Chamber Hall.
