EASY TO USE FOR EVERYONE

 

Qu is a rare breed of digital mixer – packed with professional features, but with a learning curve suitable for volunteers and non-technical operators.

At the heart of Qu’s simplicity is the “one fader per input” ideology, with the faders lining up with input sockets to ensure non-technical operators always know where they are. Layers are kept to a minimum to streamline the mixing experience.

A touchscreen is provided for simple navigation of the mixer, and the simplified user-interface means you’ll rarely be more than a button press away from where you need to be.

SIMPLIFIED iPAD CONTROL

The free Qu-Control app for iOS devices allows the use of a simplified user interface, perfect for giving non-technical operators control over a limited set of parameters, and without the risk of important settings being changed accidentally.

TOTAL RECALL

Up to 100 presets can be saved allowing quick and easy recall of commonly used configurations like Sunday services, weddings and baptisms. Different guest speakers, pastors or worship leaders can have their channel settings saved for seamless switching to the optimal settings for each speaker.

USER PERMISSIONS

Three levels of access - Admin, Standard, Basic - are provided, with password protection, to ensure users only have access to the features they need. Volunteers and non-technical operators can be given access to basic mixing functions, while more technically minded members of the team can access more of the mixers functionality.

MICROPHONE PRESETS

Allen & Heath has teamed up with leading microphone manufacturers Shure, Audio-Technica, Sennheiser, Audix and SE Electronics to provide EQ Library presets for several popular and industry standard microphones. Presets for vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, drums, brass and woodwind have been painstakingly crafted to offer you the best possible starting point.

MORE ROOM FOR YOUR CONGREGATION

 

It’s not always convenient, or even possible, to have a dedicated location for a mixing desk and engineer in your sanctuary. Qu allows you to make the most of the space available by allowing the mixer and technician to be positioned where space is available.

REMOTE MIXING

The free Qu-Pad app for iPad allows the mixer to be fully controlled over Wi-Fi from anywhere in your HoW, whether that’s at the back of the room or sat amongst your congregation.

GO FADERLESS

If space is very tight, the faderless Qu-Pac and Qu-SB mixers are compact enough to be positioned on stage, out of sight, and controlled entirely via iPad.

LIVESTREAM TO A LARGER AUDIENCE

 

Livestreaming has seen massive growth in recent times, and for Houses of Worship it offers the chance to reach out and connect with a congregation beyond your sanctuary walls.

All Qu mixers feature an integrated USB audio interface, compatible with all popular streaming platforms, making it simple to broadcast your services to a larger audience.

RECORD AND REPLAY

It's not just about streaming, you can also record stereo or multitrack audio to a PC, Mac or USB thumb drive for editing or archival purposes, and playback is also supported via USB for maximum flexibility.

GIVE MUSICIANS CONTROL WITH Qu-You

 

If your service includes music, you’ll be familiar with the demands of balancing the sound for your congregation with the on-stage sound for the worship musicians.

The free Qu-You app for iPhone and Android devices relieves the operator of this additional responsibility, giving each musician control of their own mix and freeing up the engineer to concentrate on the front-of-house sound for your congregation.

SIMPLE SETUP

Connect a Wi-Fi router to the network port on the Qu, open the app and the performers are ready to start building their personal mix.

The apps allow performers to change levels without affecting the FoH mix in your church, or the levels of other musicians.

If the musician makes a mess of their personal mix, the technician can take control from the mixer and get things back under control.
